It support PICKit 1/PICKit 2 and ICD2 under Linux along with some simple programmers. The author just started to add PS+ and ICD1 support and he is seeking testers (I did the test for PICkit 1/2 and some tests for ICD2). As for the ICSP module for Promate II, it is not so good for mass production based on my experience. I supported the test department on this things for quite some occasions. One possible reason is that the PM2 is getting old (I bought it for the company in year 2000). Since I was leaving the company, I also managed to persuade them not to use ICSP any more (to switch to off-line programming or factory programming) for most of the old PIC projects still using ICSP. And for PM3, I think it is better but I am a bit worried about its reliability. I though I destroyed the PM3 in the R+D Department on Monday when it failed to start. Luckily it finally started after cycling the power for several times. It would not be very nice to destroy the PM3 since my last day with the company was this Tuesday (now it is Wednesday here). As for SQTP with ICD2, I do not think that will happen any time soon. Actually I think ICD2 will soon have a redesign since the Cypress part used in ICD2 has been obsolete for quite some time. Another possibility is to use ProProg from Olin (http://www.embedinc.com/proprog/index.htm). It is supposed to be of production quality and it is much cheaper than PM3 even though I have never used it.
