I found that pretty rude, especially after receiving the (apparently valuable) information where the requested information can be found. That didn't sound to me as a /real/ "sorry" -- especially considering that if one actually were sorry, that would have been the time not to send the message in the first place. Sounds strange to send a message where one feels compelled to write in the message that one is sorry for the message.
