As is always the case, people looking in "after" the fact always make wrong assumptions. Custom antennas, custom video transmitter and receivers, custom metal work and motor / gear box upgrades with TONS of other stuff add up fast. This system has good quality parts that are very rugged. I have had this argument before, it is always expected from people who have no concept of manufacturing and production. If you are only building 300 pieces a year, all that custom work is pretty expensive compared to the thousand piece runs. Instead of using the $20 servo from TRAXXAS imagine 5 servos that are around $150 per unit, just because the base system is $350, that means nothing. The control unit alone is around $2K, everything is military based. As it were, the cost is more like $8K in the large QTY. Oh well, such is life.......... Padu wrote: >I am in the wrong business.
