I was worried...it was the one with all my Dayton > goodies in it! So what all goodies did you find? Thanks again for the help with the batteries. Josh took some of his time away from shopping to help me find and install batteries for dad's power chair. Although dad had charged them all night before leaving, they ran flat before we even got to the gate that morning. He got the chair when grandma died last year, and I think she may be sending him a message. We also had to pick the lock on the chair, as we managed to leave the key back home, about 90 miles away. Josh also turned me on to a guy who was selling Libretto 50 computers for $30, and I have one of those here as a spare to my other lib-50 lab rat. I'll probably put linux on it :) It's completely working. I snagged a nice 4-1 balun for $3, and some small square aluminum tubing for antenna-making for a couple bucks. I found a switched antenna DF rig for $1, and some nice hardline patch cables, and a pocket full of uranium marbles and other misc parts from my buddy "Phil the bird man". Phil is the guy that sourced me some 2N7000 mosfets one afternoon. I still get fallout from that incident though, as I made the mistake when someone asked me on the radio where I was headed, and I said that I was going to Hooters in indianapolis to pick up some parts. Now the choice of meeting place was phil's, and I really was going there for mosfets.. I don't know what the big deal is, I go there with my wife frequently. I found a nice Diamond Super-Gainer 7500 marked for $10, which is now adorning the roof of my expedition, and a left-handed holster which I've mounted on the driver's side of my radio console in the car. Looking in the window and seeing all those expensive radios might be pretty tempting, but seeing that empty holster next to them, I suspect will have a pretty good deterrent effect. I'm guessing that your first assumption would probably be that the weapon was with the owner, who could return at any moment. Saw the usual crop of interesting gizmos and whatsits, but with the truncated time available, never made it inside other than a quick dash to deposit my ticket in the barrel. Met up with Ken of Arcom, and saw the new RC-810 repeater controller, filled with AVRs of course. :) -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
