It could be straight lines drawn extending the driveway borders. Or it could be from the cut in the curb, since a vehicle may actually use that space when it turns into the driveway. Photo 10 appears to show the vehicle actually overlapping the edge of the cut. Here's something from the 1976 NZ legislation (revoked, apparently, but probably whatever replaced it is similar): "...for the purposes of this paragraph a vehicle parked alongside any part of a kerb crossing provided for a vehicle entrance or exit or within 1 metre of the prolongation of the side of a vehicle entrance or exit shall be deemed to be obstructing entry or exit."
