I want to design a display which is built of 7 segment displays. It should be able to display four numbers 99999, 99999, 99999 and 9999 , 19 digits. For that I need a very similar driver to this one http://shay.ecn.purdue.edu/~dsml/ece362/Homework/PDF/mc14489.pdf . The only difference is that I would need four groups of "a..h" outputs, every output group for one number. I would enable ones, tens, etc... of every number with separate inputs on the 7-segment display itself. I've got very similar display, and it does have such chip on it. The problem is that I do not know who manufactured the chip because the only thing that is written on it is : "REF0032 9750K0973". Does anybody know who might manufacture similar chips or who manufactured this particular one? I can only add that the display is quite old.
