You MAY (or may not) need a resistor across the outermost pins of the resonator. It usually works without a resistor, but it is recommended. The MCLR pin must be connected to Vcc with a 10K resistor. You should also use one of the brown-out-reset settings on the device line of your program. BOR42 if you are using 5volts.
