I have a 3 pin 20 MHz resonator (it's a little tan blobby thing with three pins coming out of the bottom). I put it in the socket on the SX Tech board and it works fine. Now I want to transfer this to a perf board. Right now I have the leftmost pin connected to pin 26 on the SX and the right most pin connected to pin 27 on the SX. And the middle pin of the resonator is connected to ground. Is this correct? And also, does the MCLR pin have to be connected to anything with this set up?
