Why? The official name is MPLAB C18 and Microchip is consistent
in their documentation. Microchip is actually quite
paticular about their product name. For example, the correct
name of PICKit 2 is "PICkit 2" but not "pickit 2".

The official name for HI-TECH C compiler for PIC18 is PICC-18.
The official name for HI-TECH C compiler for PIC12/16 is PICC.
It may be easier to write HI-TECH PICC-18 so that it will not
cause confusions.
