I tried recently to talk to a 5120 through its serial cable using an AVR. I didn't have too much success as the 5120 appeared to have only limited capability in this regard. Have you checked the gnoki website & there PC software to get the commands etc? Also you can use either the Nokia data suite or other evaluation software (e.g Mobus ?) that's available off the web & sniff the command sequences used. The basic commands are not hard to find & te hardware interface isn't difficult but I just found that the phone I was using only responded to a very limited subset of ithe command list - and not what I wanted (Incomong caller ID) Newer phones such as the 5190 may be better.
