But this is the same thread. I didn't see the workaround solution of polling TMR1L until it changes and then performing the write to TMR1H. One contributor writes that it may be possible to poll the I/O pin directly (i.e. read RC0). However, another notes that the I/O pin functionality is inhibited when the timer is enabled.
