Fedora 4 was a little slow, but Fedora 5 is just > to slow for me with my current hardware! :( Hmm, seems fine on my machine.. AMD Athlon64 3200+, 1GB RAM in dual channel mode, 180GB HDD (spanned over three drives), 128MB GeForce 6600GT AGP8x, and a pair of DVD writers. Stupidly overpowered for what I do with it, but it's nice to be able to rebuild the Linux kernel in a reasonable time :) My laptop is still on FC4, and it seems to run it pretty well. I think I'll leave it alone - I don't feel like tempting fate today. -- Phil. | Kitsune: Acorn RiscPC SA202 64M 6G ViewFinder philpem@dsl.pipex.com | Cheetah: Athlon64 3200+ A8VDeluxeV2 1GB 100GB http://www.philpem.me.uk/ | Tiger: Toshiba SatPro4600 Celeron700 256M 40G -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
