Chickens eat a lot of chicken poop too! Poultry feathers rendered in a pressure vessel consist of something like 70% protein. The 400 degree, high pressure process probably kills off organic bugs. It has to be better than hauling it to a landfill. BTW, I eat a lot of chicken myself!
