A few hours have passed and I still can't get at the data. I have started
looking harder. Netcraft:

http://toolbar.netcraft.com/site_report?url=http://www.microchip.com

gives some IPs and ... none of them lead to the site contents. Instead, I
finally found out what book you were talking about. Entering the site the normal
way (http://www.microchip.com) leads to 212.187.226.33 which according to
Netcraft is managed by L3.

Strangely, while writing this I tried again and it works. Hmm.
