That's the beauty of regular expressions. My suggestions was/is to apply it to subject lines which optionally start with some non-whitespace (to accomodate "Re:" and similar) followed by whitespace. Then, "offlist", either directly after the whitespace or as the first element. Basically, offlist as the first or second word in the subject line. It's hard to put into english - /^(\S+\s+)?OFFLIST/i is a much easier way to put it. Well, IMHO it's more clear. Anyway, I intentionally re-subjected the thread with offlist farther into the subject so that wouldn't happen. As far as whether or not it's possible, sounds like Dan may have it under control. All I know is that it's possible in theory, and how I'd do it on *my* mail server.
