In SX Microcontrollers, SX/B Compiler and SX-Key Tool, DigitalDj wrote: I have to voice an opinion that i am very dissapointed in the fact that a person can spend $150.00 for a SX Programming Kit and not get a book on programming in basic. Further more the download for the Al Williams book claiming to teach basic and assembly is geared more for assembly then anything else, somehow it loses it references to basic not very far into the book(but didn't suprise me). So there are 2 books on assembly Al's and Gunthers. If i had known that there was no basic book for the SX i may have reconsidered a different processor. Being new to processors and processor level programming makes it tough for beginners without the book. Of coarse there is the help file that i will(have to use). I just think for the investment and the time the SX has been available the book should have been available. Yes i have been told that the book will be released in the near future and yes i know the programming kit could have cost alot more compared to other processors on the market but were talking about the SX. and what should be. It just seems strange to me to have a basic compiler and no basic book! Some of my programming questions got some resolve but i bet this post will get more response than the programming questions(people like debate). Just my 2 cents worth!
