It seems to be characteristic of radio that you don't hear many details (like it having worked on apes), or eventual resolution (once the patients are out of danger, it's no longer considered "news", I guess.) I wonder whether anything scientifically interesting will surface as a result? Major surprises are a rare things, and sometimes point the way in new directions.
