Hi All,

I have been searching through piclist archive, yet I couldn't find any
threads related to the question above. Just wonder if there are any
PIC based MIDI player or polyphonic ring tone generator made by some body
in this list. Are there any theoritical description about tone generator?
I know it could be done just by using some musical chip or mcu
like Holtek HT36A4, but it would be nice if we could do it with PIC.
It could also be useful for people like me who live in place where
it is hard to source any exotic chip like Holtek. Ability to imitate
the musical chip will solve this problem.

I also know that there is Roman Black's PicSound
(http://www.romanblack.com/picsound.htm), but what I really need is only
tone generator with piano sound or other musical instrument sound, not
real sound generator. But perhaps I could modify Roman Black's PicSound
if there has no project of PIC based MIDI player or polyphonic ring tone 
generator created yet.
