The 101 (CA 101) is called the Ventura Freeway around here, but it's also called the Hollywood Freeway, and El Camino Real. I think the Northern Californians call Highway 1 the King's Highway (but not El Camino Real). The 101 and the 1 are usually different stretches of road. The two actually merge about two miles northwest of here.
