Not sure if I should be posting this here but . . . Got an upgrade notice from Roxio a few days ago. This one looks reasonable - better than 50% off. Probably works only in US and Canada. I've been a happy user since version 3 or 4 - back when it was called Easy CD Creator and sold by Adaptec. My last purchase was version 5 Platinum edition - it just plain works. Roxio has since been purchased by Sonic. Shortly after that happened, I got an email promising an upgrade for half of retail price (US$50 instead of US$99). Then they said Oops . . . we didn't really mean that. I'm guessing that enough of us complained and someone listened. This link takes you to a page where you can purchase the product for US $70 with an additional $20 rebate for qualifying previous purchase. The cool thing is: click on the "buy download" button and then wait. After a couple of minutes, a discount coupon pops up offering an additional 10% discount. Only then should you make your purchase, if you are so inclined. US$63 instead of US$70. The rebate is in form of a PDF document that you have to print and send in with the appropriate proof-of-purchase. They say its good for $20 but don't mention the currency. I suspect that means that its a Can $20 rebate for me, not US $20. Oh well.
