How old is the IPaQ? Have you looked for a firmware update? Lots of old computers had problems when hard drives got to be large, and that may be the issue here with SD card addressing assumptions made by the IPaq coders. Remember Fat12 vs Fat16 vs Fat32. Could also be an issue with the DPT having an error that Winblows can work around, but the IPAQ O/S does not. Something like Symantec Disk edit (or a partition table viewer) might give you a needed clue as to the difference between the working and the not working. > Could be something to do with FAT32 vs FAT16 vs NTFS. > >>Check their 'properties' using Winblows Explorer 'my computer/device right >>click, properties). >>R > > Coulld be I suppose. > > David VanHorn wrote: > >>>Not knowing anywhere better to ask.. >>> >>>I have three SD cards, which all work fine on my laptop or PC. >>>However, only one is recognized by my ipaq. >>> >>>Any ideas why that would be, and if there's any way to "heal" them? If you can see them in Winblows land, they don't need to be 'healed'. A lot of digital cameras need to have a card formatted by the camera, and NOT by Winblows. You might try formatting the card in a camera to see if that makes a difference.
