I'm using Windows 98, and have only very few problems with the PICkit 2, and no problems with other USB devices (as long as the drivers are installed, first). Sometimes the PICkit 2 is not recognized, but this is easily fixed by disconnecting it and reconnecting it, or moving it to a different USB port. As mentioned by someone else in this thread, this problem also occurs on Windows XP.
