Hi all,

I have been looking and I cannot seem to find a useful part that is also 
popular, and obtainable. I am looking for an integrated FET H bridge for 
up to 30V and 2A, without drive circuitry. This is to drive solenoids, 
dc motors, and stepper phases. I have looked at parts from Allegro, ST, 
and Linear, as well as some TI and IR (like level shifters for high side 
and half bridge FET drive). There does not seem to be a 'standard' part 
for this and yet most small motors and actuators in consumer devices are 
within this power range (not to mention amateur robotics, RC cars and 
many other things).

So far putting one of these drives together has involved a bucketfull of 
parts, every time I did not want to use an all-integrated solution (like 
http://www.allegromicro.com/sf/3950/index.asp). I also would like the 
full bridge in a case (or two bridges in a case). Something like L298 
but with MOSFETs and lower dissipation. Or, better, something like L298 
with the chopper part built in but no sequencer.

Any clues would be welcome.
