I don't see why we're on hold. My switch to a Linux desktop went so well I switched at work too! I still have a windows PC under my desk which is usually off. The odd time I do turn it on is because of a specific windows application I rarely use. Almost all other tools I use on a regular basis either have a Linux or Unix version. The only "straggler" has been MPLAB. At home I have one PC in the basement with just windows and MPLAB installed. Aside from that machine I run only Linux for both desktop and servers.
