I don't know about that but I know that fish die very horribly when f.ex. fruit mass from alcohool-distillation is dumped into a river. There you would have maybe 10 tons of material with <3% alcohool in it dumped into 10,000+ tons of moving water and the next day all the fish downstream from there are belly-up.
