In SX Microcontrollers, SX/B Compiler and SX-Key Tool, George Herzog wrote: No. The Pic programs through a completely different kind of portal. Take a look at the Fluffy Two programmer if you want to compare the two. The SX chip programs through the oscillator pins at a higher voltage. I forget what the PIC does, but it isn't the same. And if you look at the Pin Outs for the SX-28, they are not the same as the 28 pin PICs. BTW, it isn't really worth building a Fluffy as the SX-Blitz is priced competatively and is comparatively as cheap or cheaper. Debug will require an SX-Key. You might as well get the whole package with Guenther's text unless you really find it easy to switch from PIC Mnemonics to SASM Mnemonics. The additional instructions are particular to the larger program memory and RAM. If you really want to avoid buying the books, you still might work through all of Guenther's tutorial examples to comprehend what is going on. ---------- End of Message ---------- You can view the post on-line at: http://forums.parallax.com/forums/default.aspx?f=7&p=1&m=112555#m112675 Need assistance?
