Better yet, purchase the 16f676 debug header - it works just fine when used to debug any of the 12f629, 12f675, 16f630, 16f676 parts. Just ignore the pins for port RC when debugging 8 pin parts. Notice how the top 8 pins on the 14 pin socket match up exactly with the 8 pin parts . The header is relatively inexpensive and works VERY well with the ICD2 when debugging those parts. Couple of caveats: Pin RA1 must be low while the ICD2 is programming the header. Just a thought: I had a 4 KHz pulse train on RA1 in one design and the ICD2 had no problems programming the header. Don't know what the relationship between RA1 and programming is but it is something to be aware of. There are a couple of other limitations, but I can't remember them right now. But they should be available from the Help menu within MPLAB. dwayne -- Dwayne Reid Trinity Electronics Systems Ltd Edmonton, AB, CANADA (780) 489-3199 voice (780) 487-6397 fax Celebrating 22 years of Engineering Innovation (1984 - 2006) .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .- `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' Do NOT send unsolicited commercial email to this email address.
