Also cruise around the application note area at TI, National Semi and Analog Devices. Some of the older app notes, especially the National Semi ones written in the 1970's have some good, basic, classroom stuff. You might be able to find a used copy of Walter Jung's "OpAmp Cookbook" or just break down and buy one. A nice general reference would be Horrowiz and Hill's "The Art of Electronics" 2nd ed. Getting a little dated on some of the material (the microprocessor/microcontroller section for example) and some of the parts the reference have ceased production but still a good book. Download a copy of SwitcherCAD III from Linear Technology so you have a nice free SPICE engine with GUI to play with. That can help you understand what is happening (the theory, but not always the implementation) in an amplifier (BJT, CMOS, FET, op amp, tube, whatever) circuit.
