This seems to be a common position, but does it really matter? In most cases if the unit fries, you are going to replace the whole unit. Whether that's due to the RS-232 interface or the micro doesn't make any difference. It just doesn't make sense to spend $50 technician time to diagnose and repair the problem on a $40 board. ****************************************************************** Embed Inc, Littleton Massachusetts, (978) 742-9014. #1 PIC consultant in 2004 program year. http://www.embedinc.com/products -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
