Hello all, I am using 12F629, 16F628, and some of the 18F devices. I cannot use LVP mode for ICSP. I am using computers that run WinXP. Before I ask the question, I will say that I have tried using IC-PROG and it doesn't work with the two circuits that I tried from the IC-PROG webpage ( for the devices I have listed ). In fact, it won't work at all with the printer port. I have use of a programmer at work, which I used to load a few of the devices and then tried to just read them using the 'JDM' and 'TAIT Serial' circuits. Neither circuit can read them. I wrote my own software using the printer port and 'TAIT classic' circuit and the PIC device never communicates. When I plug the PIC device in at work, it reads it fine. After looking at the programming spec for the different chips, I noticed that Vdd and Vpp have to be applied in a different sequence depending on the chip. Perhaps Microchip made an error in the programming spec ? Has anybody been able to program these devices using WinXP software and a homemade circuit for High Voltage programming ? **************************************************************** The information transmitted in this message is confidential and may be privileged.
