TI apparently has some new 14 pin versions of their low-power MSP430 line, and has introduced a new "usb stick" form of development system that they're selling for $20 (hmm. Not shipping yet...) unlike the recently mentioned SiLabs USB stick, the TI version has the micro on a detachable board, and brings all the pins to usable contacts.
