I've just begun playing around with Cygwin, because not having a C compiler under Windows is a pain. But I cannot find an editor. I tried vi, vim, emacs, gedit -- none of them are there. I just did the basic download and installation of Cygwin, so perhaps that does not include an editor, although I would find that incredible to believe. More likely I did something wrong, or am doing something wrong, or both. Anyway, the bash shell comes up OK, and gcc appears to work, and /bin has a lot of programs, so things appear to be in order. Except no editor. Any suggestions? John -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
