Catching up on my Slashdot, I ran across this: http://www.wired.com/news/technology/0,70179-0.html?tw=wn_index_2 For those who haven't seen it, it's somewhat interesting. Basically, several college-age email users were asked to send a message to someone else in the study using either a serious or sarcastic tone to describe one of several common topics. The recipient was then asked to determine the tone used. The recipients thought they were right about 80% of the time, but were, in fact, only right about 50% of the time. Something worth thinking about when emailing or, say, posting to a mailing list... --Danny -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
