Green tea is better for your digestion than coffee, but I am a major supporter of the local Starbucks. It's in the blood. Swinertons in Kowloon will provide you with anything in the way of an English book, including good programing textbooks. They have a bit of a British flavor - willing to stock real information. And they used to be quite larger, but after going back to China their is less market for English. I may ask you to locate a book or two. Kaohsiung has next to nothing. I still shop there whenever I am in Hong Kong.
