Thank you Vitaliy for the references for my OBD question.

A friend once wrote "you provided me with more information than I wanted to
know." Guess I overwhelmed him with what I mailed to him (pre-Internet era.)
What you provided will keep me busy browsing, reading, searching for some
time.  Many Thanks.

I also joined the ScanTool forum.  I wasn't aware such a site existed.
Probably was there before, looked familiar, but was looking for certain info
and didn't note the 'forum'.  Another lesson learned.
