Has anyone on this list ever done anything with honeywell's "OpenTherm"
communications protocol??

One of my next school projects will most probably involve me doing something
with PID-control, so I decided that I just might make an thermostat for the
*modern* high-efficientcy modulating CV that we have here at home. The
service manual tipped me on the name of the protocol. After googlin' it, I
came to http://www.opentherm.nl; the OpenTherm Association. I emailed them
asking if I could get a description of their prized protocol for my school
project... I hope they say yes.
