If I can't reproduce the problem >it's a lot harder to fix. Does seem to be the symptoms of mains interference. Doe sit happen when the cleaning crew plug the vacuum in? Is there some other electrical appliance nearby? I suspect the only way to fix the problem is to go through all machines on a rolling basis installing shielding and grounding within the machine. You will probably need some suitable noise generators in the workshop to ascertain the noise sensitive points. A handful of vacuum cleaner units with universal motors and suitable arcing brushes would probably do the trick. You may need to go through a specimen cabinet and look at how the mains filtering is done, how the various bits are linked together to an earth bonding point - do the casinos even provide any sort of earthing for the cabinet (I am thinking here that you are in 2 pin 110V territory, so maybe unit not earthed)? If you can reproduce the apparent problem in the W/S then you probably have a pretty good handle on sorting it out. -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
