Timex/Sinclair had a patent on that a long time ago. Hmm, contactless 
update using a triple suction cup (3 x phototransistors), attach to 
screen and visit our website where Javascript will flash (literally) the 
code in.

In case there is no net access use three beer can caps to cover and 
uncover the phototransistors in the order indicated on the instructions 
printed on a toilet paper roll.
