You should also consider putting the logic shipboard between the RX and the servos.   No need to hack your transmitter, just plug the SX between the receiver and your servos.

The SX-Creeper code has all the R/C Inputs and Outputs you would need, and then some.  Rip out the Serial, Parser, EEPROM, Gait and Stride logic, and put in your Tageting logic giving programmed R/C outputs for various R/C inputs.  Voila! 

I can even envision other features, like automatic rapid fire!
