I know there are a lot of free after rebate offers there and there are many people in the FatWallet forums and some other similar forums. My friends there got free RAMs, free routers, US$290 Dell Desktops and US$500 Dell Notebooks ... And I hear there are people who are speciallizing in getting cheaper stuffs and then sell them in Ebay. It is interesing that the accessories like network cable is more expensive than the routers. ;-) > The MChip part IS out, digikey carries it. I've now done two projects > with it. It's wonderful how much easier MChip has made going ethernet > for the embedded market. I just wish they brought the chip > out earlier. Impressive! So my next target will be these TCP/IP stuffs and the Zigbee stuff ... Right now I'd better continue my USB learning. Microchip is making a lot of things easier for people even though they are not a technical leader. They are rather a follower.
