I have not used AVRA. Is it compatible with both AVR
Assembler 2 and the original AVR assembler? I know
AVRstudio 4.xx comes with both versions.

My colleagues in Berlin use mostly IAR assemblers. Is 
AVRA compatible with it as well?

I know the assembler from AVR GCC is painful to use
and even painful to look at.

My experience with AVR is limited to rebuilding some
of the firmware developed by my colleagues. I look
into their codes even though I am using PIC.
