> Hmm, a totally clueless someone who asked a stupid question in a > wise > manner, is he bozo? A less than exhaustive search * of PICList posts indicates that in all threads where the term "bozo" appears (including this one), Olin first used the term. All other uses are by people quoting Olin either directly or indirectly. This indicates that for PIClist purposes a 'bozo' is a person who Olin does not approve of or, perhaps, a person on whom Olin bestows the appellation. If this is in fact the case, as it appears to be, then a clueless someone asking a stupid in a wise manner (always allowing that such be possible) would be a bozo if Olin deemed him/her one and not if he didn't. History suggests that odds are that Olin, should he deign to be involved in such an exchange, would almost always so label such a questioner. As he often labels wise & informed, and clueful but uninformed questioners bozos the odds are that almost everyone here is a bozo until they gain a security clearance from Olin. R :-) M * An exhaustive search MAY show otherwise.
