Not a language barrier -- perhaps more of a cultural difference.   I 
understand that Olin is speaking with a certain amount of 
tongue-in-cheek, and he understands that I am.   And both of us 
understand that people with clueless posts are not necessarily evil 
people.  A lot of them -- probably most of them -- are just on the very 
beginning of  the learning curve.   I would think it very likely that in 
any culture words do not always mean exactly what they say,  taken 
literally.
