Not in my case. They just passed it to me together with 
an ICD type programmer/debugger (loan to us but it would be
a free gift if we switch to them). The switchover never 
happened though since we adopted Silabs C8051F instead.

Anyway I guess Freescale should be a trustworthy company.
If they extend their HCS08 (not HC08) to the low end, I might 
consider them in the future.
