I seem to remember someone doing small pleasure craft like this back in the
mid 70's. The designs they came up with were supposed to reduce boat wash
erosion of river banks and so on, but there were problems in the
implementation in that they were harder to turn than the normal V hull. As a
scheme they never seemed to catch on for this reason.
