Microsoft makes two email clients, Outlook (not free, part of the Office suite) and Outlook Express (free, comes with Windows). Outlook uses a single (unless you set it up otherwise) *.pst file for everything (unless you keep things on an Exchange server). I have successfully taken my Personal.pst file from work and simply copied it to my home computer with no problems. Outlook Express uses a *.wab file for the address book, and *.dbx files for email and usenet, a single file for each folder. If your pst file is corrupt, you're probably out of luck.
