This is new to me. I've always only worried about the pst file. How do the DBX and the PST relate? Could this be dependent on the type of mail server you use (exchange or others)? I just did a search for *.dbx in my pc and came up with only one file, which belonged to another app and not outlook. Thanks. -Mario > FOLDER_NAME.dbx files are the emails.. > > -- > andrwe > > On 1/10/06, Mario Mendes Jr. wrote: >> You can try importing from your pst file (File->Import and Export menu), >> but opening it should've worked. >> >> Good luck. >> >> >> -Mario >> >> >> > Gentlemen: >> > >> > After a recent hard drive crash (the windows SAM file (its where the >> users >> > and passwords are stored) was broken and this provoked a new >> > computer.....Ect) I recovered the outlook .PST files that had loads of >> > important emails ect stored within them.
