I tested using an USB connected ICD2 clone ( an "exact" USB/serial clone) and PICDEM2+ demo board with an 18F452 on board. Somehow I have not been able to get it working under Fedora Core 4. According to Nicolas (the author of piklab), it should supports more PICs with serial or USB connection.
