Yes I thought that, but they are (a) Linear (duh! :-) and the OP was looking to replace chopper drivers, so 
the heat/power may be a problem
and (b) only work with unipolar motors, and the OP has bipolars.  Together I think these probably rule out 
Linisteppers, excellent though they are!
