Big companies are made up of folks just like you, using tools just like you do.They make mistakes too, but there is a door down the hall with lawyers in it to help them cover it up. In my career, I have embarassed several big companies. It was worth the effort. It really was. But I also saved a few companies from being defrauded, using the same kind of analysis. If your engineering analysis is sound, based on universal principles, and you have the facts straight, your idea will suceed.
